In order to further expand its catalog and strengthen its unique market position, BookRenter has integrated Alibris inventory to give BookRenter customers direct access to an additional 100 million new, hard-to-find, collectible, and used textbooks. These books are offered for sale by Alibris's global network of independent booksellers, ensuring that students can find all of the textbooks they need from one source.
"The integration with Alibris demonstrates BookRenter's commitment to work with the very best partners to deliver the most comprehensive catalog of textbook rentals to our customers," said Mehdi Maghsoodnia, chief executive officer of BookRenter. "This partnership will be particularly welcome news to the thousands of students and professors seeking rare and out-of-print books, because BookRenter makes it as easy and affordable to rent hard-to-find books as it is to rent the newest textbooks, saving students more money than ever before."
The BookRenter integration utilized the Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework and enables customers to benefit from Alibris's vast selection, competitive prices, and convenient marketplace shopping experience.
"Our independent booksellers have asked us to help them to sell more books," said Brian Elliott, president and CEO of Alibris. "Our partnership with BookRenter achieves that goal by providing our sellers with access to hundreds of thousands of happy BookRenter customers."
