Bon Secours Community Hospital Earns "Top Performer on Key Quality Measures" Recognition from The Joint Commission
PORT JERVIS, N.Y., Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Bon Secours Community Hospital today was named one of the nation's top performers on key quality measures by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America. Bon Secours Community Hospital, part of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, earned this recognition from The Joint Commission based on data reported about evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care and children's asthma.
The results of this nationwide survey of 3,099 hospitals were reported in The Joint Commission's "Improving America's Hospitals" annual report. Bon Secours Charity Hospital is one of only 405 U.S. hospitals to earn the distinction of top performer on key quality measures, and one of only eight New York hospitals to be recognized through this new program.
