Boise Inc. Partners With Box Tops for Education®

BOISE, Idaho, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Boise Inc. (NYSE: BZ), a leading paper and packaging company, and the Box Tops for Education® program announced today a collaboration that helps consumers obtain much-needed funds for participating schools.

Box Tops for Education® is a nationwide fundraising program for K-8 schools that encourages students to collect Box Tops coupons from a variety of products, from breakfast cereals to office supplies. Box Tops coordinators at each of the 69,000 participating schools send in the Box Tops coupons and receive cash for their schools. Established by General Mills in 1996, the Box Tops for Education program has helped schools earn more than $400 million.

Money earned through the program can be used by schools in many ways, such as rebuilding playgrounds and boosting under-funded programs, or purchasing classroom equipment, library books, computers and other much-needed supplies.
