BofA's Petrie and KKR's Bookout to Deliver Keynotes for 9th Annual 'A&D Strategies and Opportunities' Conference
HOUSTON, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Tom Petrie, vice chairman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and John Bookout III, managing director of newly public KKR & Co. LP (parent of private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts), have been confirmed as keynote speakers for Hart Energy's annual A&D Strategies and Opportunities conference. Now in its 9th year, the event convenes September 1-2, 2010, at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, hosted by Oil and Gas Investor magazine and A&D Watch newsletter.
Petrie will deliver the opening morning keynote address on Sep. 1, covering macroeconomic issues affecting the oil and gas industry and M&A activity. Bookout will deliver the conference's closing keynote address on Sept. 2. He will discuss KKR's new shale strategy, including its $400-million investment in the Eagle Ford shale region of south Texas and its recent $4.7-billion sale of East Resources in the Marcellus shale to Shell Oil Co.
