The first live event of Bodog's Anonymous Poker Series (APS), held last night in London, was won by the French - other than that it was considered a huge success! Former 888Poker pro, Claire Renaut took the event, the trophy, the champagne and the first seat at the $100,000 Grand Final of the APS in Manila.

The field included some big names within the poker world like James Akenhead, James Dempsey, Mclean Karr, Jack Ellwood and Everest Poker pro Fabrice Soulier. Fabrice, who doubles up as Claire's boyfriend, will also be boarding the plane to Manila as the prize package includes flight and accommodation for both player and a guest.
Bodog Poker Network President, Jonas Odman, commented: "The Anonymous Poker Series has got off to a great start and while we can't keep the identity of our live winners under wraps the concept of the Recreational Poker Model for online players has been embraced by both players and the industry alike. The Anonymous Poker Series is a showcase of how far the concept has come and the atmosphere at tables for the London event was exactly what we hoped it would be - everybody had a blast!"
