BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Chad Kurmel, Director of Golf at Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club in Boca Raton, Fla., finished one shot out of first place in the recent South Florida PGA Section Championship at Orchid Island and Hawks Nest in Vero Beach. His 54 hole total of 215, 1 under par, resulted in him tying for fourth place out of 180 golf professionals. His finish qualified him for the PGA Professional National Championship at the Philadelphia Cricket Club next June. Kurmel won the SFPGA Championship in 2012. This is his fourth time qualifying for the PGA of America Professional National Championship; the first was in 2004.

Kurmel has been a PGA Professional for 17 years, and has been working in the golf industry for more than 20 years. He has played junior, collegiate, and professional golf.
Kurmel played in the 2007 PGA TOUR's Honda Classic, the 2007 Nationwide TOUR's Miccosukee Championship, the 2013 Puerto Rico Open, and the 2004, 2009 and 2013 Professional National Championships. He is also PGA Certified in Golf Operations and Retail.
