Bob Stewart Named Full Service Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing for White Lodging
MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Nov. 19, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- White Lodging, one of the leading independent hospitality, development and management companies in the country has appointed Bob Stewart to the position of Full Service Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing.
With over 35 years of industry experience, Stewart comes with a wealth of background, experience and proven results. Over his extensive hospitality career he has served as a Director of Catering, Director of Marketing, Cluster Director of Sales, and a Market Director of Sales.
In 2008, he received Director of Market Sales of the year for the Central Region for surpassing annual sales goals of $40 million. While in that role, he also successfully grew the Atlanta RSO Office from 35 full service and select service properties generating $30 million in revenue to 82 properties generating $54 million in revenue. Beyond that, as the Director of Marketing at the Atlanta Marriott, Bob was challenged to find additional revenue streams. He did just that by leading the efforts of the Atlanta Business Council for over 3 years. In that role, he generated over $1 million of incremental revenue. Those efforts earned him the 2002 Marriott North America – Market Leadership Award.
In his role, Stewart will be responsible for the Full Service hotels in Colorado, Texas, Kentucky and a few other tertiary Markets. He will be charged with achieving top line budgeted revenue (both rooms and catering), achieving RevPar targets, training and developing Sales talent, eliminating underperforming assets, and creating sales and marketing processes that support the growth of the Full Service Division.
