WASHINGTON, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the nation's largest immigration reform organization, is pleased to announce Bob Dane as its new executive director effective September 8.
"The Board unanimously approved this appointment and is enthusiastically looking forward to his leadership," said Donald Collins, Jr., chairman of the board of directors.
Mr. Dane is FAIR's fourth executive director since its founding in 1979. He will oversee the organization's Washington, D.C.-based and national operations.
He joined FAIR in 2006 as director of communications. Through thousands of radio, television and print interviews, Mr. Dane has advocated for sensible immigration policies that put Americans' interests first.
"With nearly a decade of experience in FAIR's media department, Bob has spearheaded valuable and unique initiatives, bringing to light the public's often-overlooked concerns about immigration," said Dan Stein, president of FAIR.
Mr. Dane has shared FAIR's principles with millions of listeners, viewers and readers. "For many years, Bob has continually demonstrated media expertise, innovative ideas and able management," noted Collins.
Prior to joining FAIR, Mr. Dane spent 20 years in network radio, marketing and communications. He also served in a policy and budgeting position within the Reagan administration. Mr. Dane received a degree in public administration and management from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
"We are sure that Bob will continue to courageously guide FAIR's important public policy programs. His strong leadership skills and results-oriented management style will amplify FAIR's impact on U.S. immigration policies," added Stein.
