Boating & Outdoor Recreation Festival Inspires - Sept. 22-26
Crew from Deadliest Catch, Inspiration to discover outdoor recreation, and family fun
LIVONIA, Mich., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The 1st Annual Boating & Outdoor Recreation Festival is scheduled for September 22 – 26, at Metro Beach Metropark in Harrison Twp.
This "all new" in-water boat show will have new and used boats for sale on shore and in the water, as well as other outdoor recreation products like ATVs, kayaks, motorcycles and snowmobiles. Destinations, equipment, supplies and services will also be on display and for sale.
In addition to viewing and purchasing outdoor recreation products, attendees will be invited to participate in outdoor recreation activities like disc golf, ladder ball, bean bag toss, horseshoes and other lawn games as well as learn about the many other outdoor recreation opportunities available in Michigan and the many facilities which make them accessible. "The Festival mission is to provide inspiration and education to individuals and families and to encourage boating and outdoor recreation," said Van Snider, MBIA President. "Boating and outdoor recreation offer health and well-being benefits and are easy, affordable and available right in our own back yard."
The Festival takes place along Black Creek and on the surrounding grounds, with beautiful views of Lake St. Clair. Promotions, contests and special exhibits will make this event a must attend for everyone.
Special attractions include appearances by Neal Hillstrand and Mike Fourtner from the Time Bandit on Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch, live music, beer tents, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Pet Adoption, Fine Art, food, kids' activities and fun for the whole family. The festival, located at Metro Beach Metropark, will be held September 22-26, 2010. Hours: Wed., Thurs., Fri.: Noon – 8PM, Sat.: 11AM – 8PM and Sun.: 11AM – 6 PM.
