ORLANDO, Fla., April 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Boardroom Events today announced the winners of its Awards of Excellence in the Office of Midmarket CIO and Midmarket CMO as well as Vendor Excellence Awards showcasing some of the very best in technology and marketing collaboration.
Presented at the Spring 2016 Boardroom Events Midmarket CIO Forum and Midmarket CMO Forum, these awards recognize powerful partnerships between vendors and midmarket organizations that deliver measurable value to the overall business.
Michael Cahoon, VP and CIO at CP Kelco, was honored with the Award of Excellence in the Office of Midmarket CIO for his partnership with OutSystems, while Information Builders, Mimecast, Scale Computing, and Bromium were selected as leaders in four categories for IT Vendor Excellence.
Cahoon learned of the OutSystems rapid application development platform at a previous Midmarket CIO Forum. OutSystems enabled the applications team to build the CAPEX system -which integrated with SAP and provided CP Kelco to accurately forecast spend and add six unscheduled CAPEX projects to the annual pipeline - in just eight weeks. As a result, CP Kelco reallocated unspent resources from existing budget and improved CAPEX funding allocation by nearly 20 percent.
Peter Sorckoff, Chief Creative Officer and SVP of Marketing, Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena was honored with the Award of Excellence in the Office of Midmarket CMO for his partnership with MotiveQuest, while MarcomCentral and Domo were named as leaders for their marketing technology solutions.
Sorckoff spearheaded a seismic shift in marketing focus that resulted in a nearly 500% increase ticket sales as well as nearly doubling retail sales and media ratings in just one year. They used MotiveQuest to conduct 12 months of social listening around the brand, crunched the data and designed strategic marketing initiatives to better target prime demographics.
The Vendor Excellence Awards represent technology implementations that solve technology and marketing challenges to the best overall benefit of the business bottom line. Winner captured honors in the following categories:
- Best Marketing Solution: MarcomCentral, with nominees including SAS Institute Inc. and Valid USA
- Most Innovative Marketing Technology: Domo, with nominees including Box, vablet and VenturePact
- Best Midmarket Solution, Software: Information Builders, with nominees including MaaS360 by IBM, Netreo and OutSystems
- Best Midmarket Solution, Service: Mimecast, with nominees including Datavail and WillowTree, Inc.
- Best Midmarket Strategy: Scale Computing, with nominees including NewCloud Networks and OpenDNS
