BNY Mellon Shows Global Commitment to Sibos 2018 Sydney
NEW YORK, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon today announced that a team of over 25 leaders will attend this year's Sibos conference in Sydney, Australia. Four BNY Mellon executives from around the world will be featured on Sibos panels.
In addition to senior leaders from across its Asset Servicing, Global Client Management, Global Operations, and Technology functions, BNY Mellon is fielding a deep bench of leaders and innovators from its Treasury Services business, led by Paul Camp, the business's recently-appointed Chief Executive Officer.
BNY Mellon's featured speakers include:
- Bana Akkad Azhari, Managing Director and Regional Head of Relationship Management for the Middle East and Africa and Commonwealth of Independent States, BNY Mellon Treasury Services. Ms. Azhari will participate on a panel to explore the implications of China's One Belt One Road for the Middle East in the areas of trade transactions and trade finance activities. The session will take place at 9:45 AM on October 23.
- Michael Bellacosa, Managing Director, Head of Global Payments Product Management, BNY Mellon Treasury Services. Mr. Bellacosa is joining a panel focusing on the progress and benefits of SWIFT gpi in global payments. The session will take place at 3:30 PM on October 23.
- Fred DiCocco, Managing Director, Global Head Product Strategy and Marketing, BNY Mellon Treasury Services. Mr. DiCocco will join a panel discussing FX market changes and the potential impact of changes to regulations and accepted standards on correspondent banking and on the issuance and settlement of payments via correspondent banks. The session will take place at 3:30 PM on October 23.
- Saket Sharma, Chief Information Officer, BNY Mellon Treasury Services, will take part in a panel highlighting SWIFT's Customer Security Programme (CSP), which aims to reinforce the security of the global banking system by helping parties reinforce the security of their SWIFT-related infrastructure to protect against cyber-threats and fraud. The session will take place at 4:15 PM on October 22.
BNY Mellon will also make several announcements about new research and recent high-impact client innovations over the course of the conference's four days.
