BNY Mellon Appoints Scott Freidenrich As Executive Vice President and Treasurer
NEW YORK, April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, today announced the appointment of Scott Freidenrich as executive vice president and treasurer. Freidenrich will report to Thomas P. Gibbons, the company's chief financial officer, and be responsible for leading and developing the company's Treasury Group.
Freidenrich replaces Jeff Landau, who was recently named the head of the Cash Investment Strategies group at BNY Mellon.
Freidenrich joins BNY Mellon from Citigroup where he is currently head of U.S. Institutional Sales for Prime Finance. From 2007 to 2009, he served as Citigroup's head of Investor Relations and for the three years prior to that he served as the global treasurer for Citigroup's Corporate and Investment Bank. Freidenrich has also held a variety of increasingly senior roles at Citigroup focused on liquidity management, balance sheet and capital management, interest rate and FX hedging, and rating agency and other external relationships.
