BNBuilders Begins Construction on the Illumina San Diego Facility Expansion

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BNBuilders is pleased to announce that it will commence construction on the Illumina manufacturing expansion in San Diego. BNBuilders is tasked with the interior build-out of a new 300,000-square-foot facility to expand Illumina's existing San Diego operations. Specializing in biotech construction projects, BNBuilders is utilizing its technical expertise to support the growth of the biotech industry in San Diego and the West Coast. 

As part of the expansion team from the conceptual stage, BNBuilders is providing both pre-construction and construction services to Illumina. The project will include the expansion of the central plant, and the interior build-out of the shell into a manufacturing facility, warehouse, as well as labs, office and general support space. Designed by Ewing Cole, the Illumina expansion is projected to be complete in late 2016.
