LONDON, March 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity® Monaco 2019, the forum for emerging sustainable technology and resource efficiency companies, hosted by Innovator Capital and the Monaco Economic Board, closed on Friday, 15th March with the Awards Ceremony in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
An independent panel of judges, chaired by His Serene Highness, selected the Swedish startup Blixt Tech AB as winner of the award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development.
Mungo Park, Chairman of Innovator Capital commented: "BL!XT are revolutionising a 150 year old technology, we look forwards to seeing their impact."
BL!XT is the first and only to develop miniature, solid state circuit breakers, creating the spark for an entirely new shift in energy. Turning the conventional mechanical breakers into digital connected devices completely changes the game. With its strategic location in the fuse box they could represent one of the largest energy savings potentials and pave the way for clean energy.
Since circuit breakers are omnipresent where electricity is being used, the potential use cases are beyond the residential fuse box. Fueled by a global trend of electrification, the company currently receives requests from companies around the world, ranging from energy to mobility, aerospace, nautical and industrial 4.0.
"Apart from the great honour and joy of being awarded, participating at CleanEquity Monaco was a true highlight in many aspects," says Charlotta Holmquist Executive Chairman and Founder of Blixt. "High level investors and startups showed absolutely best practice of collaboration with one common goal, to mitigate climate change."
CleanEquity thanks, in particular: Prince Albert II of Monaco's Foundation, APCO Worldwide, Cision, Covington & Burling, Cranfield, Hobbs & Towne, Monaco Economic Board, Parkview International and Reliance Industries.
The awards were created by Samuel de Gunzburg, the French based artist working and living in London. Gunzburg graduated in 2018 from City & Guilds of London Art School in Fine Art. Previous exhibitions include: Saatchi Gallery, Tripp Gallery, Zari Gallery and Four Corners Gallery.
CleanEquity Monaco will be returning to the Principality of Monaco in March 2020.
