Blueland Launches First Plastic Free, Non-Toxic Consumer Product
New-to-market brand is reimagining the CPG category with eco-friendly, innovative formats that eliminate plastic packaging
NEW YORK, April 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Created as the first collection of household and personal care products to eliminate the need for single-use plastic packaging, Blueland's first offering is The Clean Up Kit, and includes the brand's signature Forever Bottles and three different cleaning tablets (Multi-Surface, Glass + Mirror and Bathroom Cleaners). Just add water to the bottle, drop in a cleaning tablet, and it dissolves to create a 20oz bottle of non-toxic cleaning solution.
"When people hear eco-friendly, they assume the products will be less effective, more expensive and more work," Sarah Paiji Yoo, CEO and co-founder of Blueland said. "We're flipping this on its head with cutting-edge formulas, readily biodegradable packaging, and money-saving $2 refill tablets. Now the better choice is the easy choice."
Blueland's products are sold as a refillable system. Blueland's reusable Forever Bottles are shatterproof, BPA free and designed to last. The company's natural tablets have been proven to be more effective against the leading brands. Blueland has also received the Cradle to Cradle Platinum Material Health Certification for its bottle, the highest recognition from the leading environmental agency.
"We're thrilled to launch a pipeline of proprietary products," John Mascari, COO and co-founder said. "We've been science-first since inception, ensuring that each product is sourced from the most environmentally-responsible, safe materials, while simultaneously eliminating plastic packaging waste."
Blueland is founded by proven serial entrepreneurs Sarah Paiji Yoo and John Mascari. Yoo was co-founder and CEO of mobile shopping app Snapette, which was acquired by Pricegrabber, and was a founding executive at M.Gemi and Rockets of Awesome. Mascari was co-founder and CEO of green nutrition brand Bundle Organics, which was acquired by 1908 Brands.
The Clean Up Kit will be available for $29 and tablets will be available for $2 per refill nationwide at Blueland.com starting April 22.
