NORCROSS, Ga., Aug. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Waffle House faithful can celebrate National Waffle Week 2017 by welcoming back an old friend – the blueberry waffle.
The customer favorite has returned to the menu for a limited time at participating Waffle House restaurants as one of the many ways to celebrate Nation Waffle Week, which runs the week of September 3rd.
"The blueberry waffle has been the most-requested item from our customers for the past two years, and we are happy to bring it back," said Walt Ehmer, Waffle House President and CEO. "I haven't seen our customers this excited about an event since the solar eclipse."
The return of the blueberry waffle is highlight of the National Waffle Week celebration. Associates at many restaurants will celebrate the week with special theme days including patriotic day, throwback uniform day, sports team day and tie dye day. The week will culminate with a public celebration at Waffle House Museum in Avondale Estates, Ga., noon-3 pm on Saturday, September 9th.
In addition to these festivities, Waffle House will be announcing a partnership with the Paralyzed Veterans of America. This will be an opportunity for the company, its associates and customers to salute and give back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.
