CARROLLTON, Texas, May 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Jay is pleased to announce the naming of Robert W. Young as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the projection of the company's financial activities, as well as the accurate and timely reporting of operational results. Robert is also in direct supervision of the Finance and Human Resource departments. Previously, he served as Controller for Blue Jay. Robert has extensive experience in financial leadership positions throughout his career.
Robert is a CPA in both Texas and Maryland. He received his BS in Accounting and Economics from Towson University, and earned his MBA in Accounting from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland.
He played baseball at Towson, and that love of the game, along with his expertise in the accounting field and a passion for international Christian mission work to help others, led Robert to found the The Kay Foundation.
The Kay Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial scholarships to local youth baseball organizations and delivers new and used baseball equipment internationally through Christian mission organizations, and Robert serves as the Executive Director.
The Indianapolis native is a proud father of two, Alexandra and Collin, and the pet parent to a tabby cat named Semillon. In his free time, Robert enjoys golf, playing bass guitar and even cutting a rug two-stepping to country music. He is a self-proclaimed baseball fanatic, a die hard Baltimore Orioles fan and loves baseball movies, especially Field of Dreams and Bull Durham. Robert is a valued asset to the Blue Jay family and makes a difference every day in the organization.
