Blue Cross Foundation Adds New Board Member
EAGAN, Minn., Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation has added Shirley Hughes to its board of directors. The Foundation board directs the state's largest grantmaking foundation dedicated exclusively to improving health in Minnesota.
Hughes is retired from her position as senior vice president of human resources at Ceridian Corporation. Previously, Hughes served as vice president of human resources for Trinity Health (formerly known as Mercy Health Services) in Michigan. She serves on the boards of directors for Second Harvest Heartland, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities, Achieve, Risen Christ Catholic School and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and is a trustee of John C. Smith University. Hughes serves as chair of the Foundation's human resources committee.
