PHOENIX, Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Advantage's (BCBSAZ Advantage) HMO plans have earned a high 4-star rating, out of a possible 5, by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services (CMS). This 4-star rating applies to BCBSAZ Advantage HMO plans in Maricopa, Pima and Pinal Counties.
CMS uses the Star Rating System to measure how well Medicare Advantage plans perform while providing a system to help you and your family easily compare plans. Performance is measured based on information from member satisfaction surveys, plan details and healthcare providers. According to CMS, high star ratings mean better quality and value, making BCBSAZ Advantage a secure choice for seniors exploring their 2015 Medicare options.
