Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Board of Directors Elects Terry Kellogg President and CEO
Kellogg Will Assume New Office July 1, 2010
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Board of Directors today elected Terry Kellogg as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. He assumes the office following the retirement of Phillip Pope on June 30, 2010. Pope has served as Blue Cross' CEO since 2003.

Kellogg, 57, joined Blue Cross in 1982. He most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer.

He currently serves as chairman of the finance committee for United Way of Central Alabama and serves on the boards of directors for BCS Financial Corporation, Birmingham Chapter of the American Red Cross, Business Council of Alabama, Greater Alabama Council Boy Scouts of America and Innovation Depot. Kellogg, a native of Council Grove, Kansas, is a graduate of the University of Kansas, is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
