("Blu"), the leading builder of beautiful, precision-engineered, green prefab homes, announced today that Woody Bell has been named senior vice president of operations. In his new role, Bell will oversee manufacturing at Blu's Vallejo, California factory, a state-of-the-art 250,000 square-foot facility located in a former naval shipyard.

With over three decades of experience overseeing high performance modular home production facilities, Bell has earned a reputation for increasing factory efficiencies, providing faster completion times and ensuring superior quality control resulting in greater value for the homeowner and easier planning and construction for developers. As Blu Homes' senior vice president of operations, Bell will work out of Blu's Vallejo, California factory, where he will be responsible for supervising all manufacturing and supply chain elements.

Most recently Bell served as vice president of operations at Nationwide Homes, a leading builder of high performance modular homes for single family and multi-family residences, commercial structures and remodeling additions. Prior to his work at Nationwide Homes, Bell spent 15 years at Palm Harbor Homes in a variety of roles, including division president, executive vice president and president of manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and a Master's Degree in Managerial Accounting from Colorado State University.
Bell has wide-ranging experience planning and leading operations in single and multiple plant business environments. His areas of expertise include policy and procedure development, profit and loss accountability, regulatory compliance and quality improvement and customer satisfaction improvement.
