Modern Cabana aligns with Blu's commitment to help homeowners build high quality, beautifully designed structures at a predictable price. Like Blu's homes, Modern Cabanas can be put up much faster than conventional construction and embrace environmentally thoughtful principles and products. Modern Cabana's units can be integrated graciously with a customer's site by Blu's award winning architects, and will be built in Blu's California factory, delivered to a customer's location and installed by Blu craftsmen.
"Modern Cabana helps customers build small and beautiful spaces like yoga studios, carpentry shops, playhouses, garden sheds, workshops, home offices, and simple storage space. They are ideal sister products to Blu's more spacious Origin designs, which offer fully conditioned living and work spaces, and can serve a multitude of purposes from bedroom additions to elegant and playful homes," said Bill Haney, founder and president of Blu Homes. "I'm excited to expand Blu's ways of serving our customers with the addition of Modern Cabana's designs. Modern Cabana's commitment to high quality design, building integrity, and green ethos make it a superb addition to the Blu family."
Founded in 2004, Modern Cabana designs and prefabricates "cabanas," which can typically be erected without a permit over the course of a weekend and provide a simple, fast way to add space to a property without the headaches of the traditional building process.
"We're thrilled that Blu Homes and its national presence will bring Modern Cabana's designs to a wider audience," said Modern Cabana co-founder Casper Mork-Ulnes. "Modern Cabana will benefit from Blu's impressive design team and its state-of-the art manufacturing facility, which will allow it to meet customer interest nationwide. It means so much to know that our customers will be cared for by a company that shares our aesthetic, environmental commitment and dedication to customer service." Blu Homes will offer Modern Cabana's products for sale beginning next year.
