WASHINGTON, Aug. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bloomberg Government today announced a new information tool for government contractors that reveals more than 9,500 federal business opportunities up for grabs starting Sept. 1. This tool provides insights and intelligence -- as well as an invaluable competitive advantage -- to 8(a) companies and their small and large partners. The Small Business Administration's 8(a) program helps small, disadvantaged businesses compete in the federal marketplace. Companies typically graduate from the program after nine years.
"8(a) companies have to make fast and effective decisions to be successful," said Donald Thomas, vice president of government contracting solutions for Bloomberg Government. "With the 8(a) Recompete Opportunities Dashboard, government contractors can search for new business and develop execution plans to fulfill mission-critical solutions for the government."
The tool identifies expiring 8(a) set-aside contracts and task orders held by companies that are losing their 8(a) status and aren't eligible to bid on recompetes.
Bloomberg Government's new 8(a) Recompete Opportunities Dashboard is an interactive, web-based business development tool that leads contractors through eight unique and searchable criteria to build a winnable pipeline of business. About 3,000 of these contracts, worth a combined $6.2 billion, are ending in the next 24 months, making them prime candidates for companies looking to pursue new government work.
The 8(a) Recompete Opportunities Dashboard includes:
- Searchable categories that include contract title, set-aside description, parent vendor, and NAICS code
- Customized views based on search and area of focus
- Contract end dates
- 8(a) graduation dates
