ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bloomberg BNA today announced it would be hosting Fueling the Future: New England's Energy Infrastructure, a complimentary morning event on the steps the New England region must take to meet future energy needs. The event takes place on Thursday, November 12 at The Great Hall of the Massachusetts State House in Boston from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Registration for the conference, which is sponsored by America's Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA), is available here.
New England is increasingly relying on natural gas for its energy needs, however, the infrastructure is not in place to support the increased supply and demand. The region has recognized the need for an expansion of this infrastructure and the event will focus on what industry participants and businesses need to know in relation to the natural gas pipeline expansion. A session will also highlight the efforts of the six New England states and how they are working collaboratively to address the region's energy needs.
The lack of sufficient energy infrastructure in New England creates significant challenges for families and businesses," said Marty Durbin, ANGA's President & CEO. "ANGA is looking forward to continuing the conversation on how the region can grow its economy, create jobs and improve energy infrastructure throughout New England."
Event speakers include:
- Terry O'Sullivan, General President, Laborer's International Union of North America (LIUNA)
- Patrick Woodcock, Director, Governor's Energy Office of Maine
- Marty Durbin, President & CEO, America's Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA)
- John Flynn, Senior Vice President, U.S. Business Development, National Grid
- Donald Santa, President & CEO, Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA)
