ARLINGTON, Va., May 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today Bloomberg BNA announced the launch of the Environment & Safety Resource Center™, a comprehensive new source for environment, health & safety (EHS) news, analysis, legal and regulatory developments, and critical case law. This dynamic web platform is an all-in-one EHS research and compliance resource, and the latest addition to Bloomberg BNA's popular suite of Resource Centers.

Resource Centers are an evolution of Bloomberg BNA's practice area libraries that integrate all of the content available on a specific subject on an intuitive interface. News, analysis, primary sources, and practices tools are all accessible from a single site that offers topical searching for end-users and cross searching of all the products subscribed to by a customer for faster, more efficient research.
The new Environment & Safety Resource Center combines the content of Bloomberg BNA's popular Environment & Safety Library™ with a more intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface, and enhanced functionality and features. Searches can now be conducted across a wider array of reference and information products, and cross-product hypertext links from products to full-text references are also incorporated and fully searchable. For example, when 40 CFR 261 is mentioned in a story in one of Bloomberg BNA's EHS reports, that citation will link to the full text of that regulation on the Environment & Safety Resource Center.
"EHS professionals now have a more comprehensive source to turn to for their research," said Elizabeth Mansfield, managing editor of Bloomberg BNA's Environment & Safety Resource Center. "This resource seamlessly brings together news from our extensive EHS product line with the expert analysis that is the hallmark of Bloomberg BNA. Performing state-by-state comparisons has also been made much more easy and immediate with the addition of a new tool: the Right-to-Know Chart Builder."
Developed based on feedback from current customers, the Right-to-Know Chart Builder enables users to create custom compliance charts comparing state requirements from the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). In addition to the Chart Builder, the Environment & Safety Resource Center also includes a subscriber feedback feature allowing customers to share their opinions of the product.
"Knowing the likes and dislikes of our customers is a driving force in the development of Bloomberg BNA's products," added Ms. Mansfield, "and the Environment & Safety Resource Center is no exception. Subscriber input was integral in its creation, helping us to produce what we feel is the ideal tool to support the needs of today's busy EHS professional."
