NEW YORK, June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Blink Holdings, Inc., the New York based operator of the premium quality, value-based Blink Fitness™ brand, announced today the formation of Blink Fitness Franchising, Inc. and the launch of a national franchise program. With 50 company-owned Blink Fitness gyms currently open or in development in the New York metropolitan area, it plans to open more than 300 additional Gyms by the end of 2020. Blink Fitness Franchising intends to initially focus on offering franchise opportunities to qualified candidates in target markets in Maryland, portions of New Jersey, Upstate New York, Virginia, Washington D.C. and parts of Long Island.
Blink is led by veterans from the fitness industry that bring a diversity of knowledge and experience to its franchisees. As a result Blink brings best-in-class design sensibility, unparalleled operational excellence, a heightened member experience, and strong brand-building capability to the value segment, where the conventional wisdom is that you get what you pay for. These qualities differentiate Blink from others in its segment and will make it an attractive model to potential franchise partners.
Blink is known for its signature Mood Above Muscle™ philosophy, which celebrates the positive emotions generated by exercise as opposed to solely focusing on physical benefits. The clubs' Feel Good Experience™ brings this philosophy to life through five key areas Blink has identified as essential to a great member experience, and that differentiate Blink from other fitness clubs. First, members are always greeted with enthusiasm and treated with respect. Second, their "Everyone Cleans" philosophy ensures that the gyms are always spotless. Third, clubs are painted colors that are proven to have a positive effect on mood and are designed to be open, spacious and bright. Fourth, they play music that is specifically selected to keep members energized throughout their workout, and fifth, their training programs are designed to be motivating and affordable.
"Blink's impressive expansion in just a few years is a true testament to the success of the brand's Mood Above Muscle™ philosophy, which differentiates us from other fitness clubs and provides our members with a unique experience," said Todd Magazine, executive vice president and general manager of Blink Fitness. "We believe we have perfected our model and are positioned for immense growth. Given our confidence in the concept we are ready to expand our presence beyond the New York metropolitan area. And while we are still dedicated to growing our company-owned business, we're looking forward to offering franchise opportunities to propel expansion across the U.S."
Blink Fitness Franchising is seeking single- and multi-unit operators with business, management and/or marketing experience. Multi-unit investment groups and franchise candidates should have a commitment to exceptional customer service, as well as a minimum net worth of $1,500,000 and liquid assets of at least $300,000.
