Blingby Breaks Barriers: Woman Founder Granted US Patent
Blingby announces grant of U.S. Patent.
NEW YORK, March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Blingby has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent Office, which relates to a video player and a plurality of metadata areas that are configured to display, in real-time, streamed metadata items that are related to content of the video streamed by the video player at a particular playing time, via a visual pattern.
Fortune Magazine reports that only 8 percent of Patents in the United States are held by women. That number encompasses all female inventors. Marcia Favale, First Inventor, is proud to join the ranks of inventors and female inventors, and shares the Patent milestone with Blingby co-founder, Robert Stanicic. "Representation is important, and we hope to add to the men and women who inspire others to believe in success, especially in technology," says Marcia Favale, Blingby Founder and CEO.
Blingby technology is platform and device agnostic. It is applicable across industries, and is disrupting and re-defining video content interaction by empowering users to interact with visual information through a steady flow of content, seamless access to messaging and products, and unlimited product and message placement capabilities. Product and message interaction works without interrupting the video and works with Native, Streaming, and Live videos.
