Bleacher Report Names Peter Moore to Board of Directors
Chief Operating Officer of Electronic Arts Brings Years of Experience in Building Sports Brands to Bleacher Report
NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Bleacher Report, one of the fastest-growing sites on the Internet and the Web's fifth largest sports media destination with more than 20 million monthly unique users, today announced that Peter Moore, Chief Operating Officer of Electronic Arts Inc. (EA), has been named to the company's Board of Directors. The appointment is effective immediately and comes at a time when Bleacher Report is experiencing significant growth in building the next generation digital publishing platform for sports content around teams and topics that fans are most passionate about. The announcement was made during Sports Business Journal's annual Media & Technology conference at The New York Marriot Marquis in Times Square, New York City.

With more than 25 years of experience in gaming, entertainment and consumer products, Moore currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of EA, providing strategic leadership for all global operations that enable EA to bring products to market via retail and digital direct-to-consumer channels, including publishing, sales, media, central development and channel management. Moore has been responsible for delivering some of the top-selling sports video games of the current console generation from franchises including FIFA, Madden NFL, NCAA Football and NHL.
Prior to joining EA, Moore was Corporate Vice President of the Interactive Entertainment Business of Microsoft Corp., where he was responsible for leading both Xbox and Games for Windows businesses, driving games development at Microsoft Game Studios, as well as cultivating relationships with third-party game publishers and developers around the world. Before joining Microsoft, Moore was President and COO of Sega of America, where he was responsible for overseeing SEGA's video game business in North America and prior to that role, was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Reebok International Ltd.
Moore holds a Bachelor's degree from Keele University, United Kingdom, and a Master's degree from California State University, Long Beach.
