Bland County land with pasture, springs and woodland to sell in June 5 auction
WYTHEVILLE, Va., May 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A 241-acre farm overlooking the Shewey Valley in Bland County will sell at auction Wednesday, June 5, with Woltz & Associates managing the sale.
The property -- including hunting land, pasture, a spring-fed stream, and a spring-fed pond -- will sell in 14 tracts, ranging from seven acres to 49 acres, with seven tracts bordering the Jefferson National Forest.
"We're selling this in tracts so that bidders can purchase the combination that best suits their needs. For example, someone who is interested in land for hunting may wish to purchase one or more of the wooded tracts that border the national forest," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company. "This is a very good area for deer, bear, grouse and other game. With wood, water and open fields, this land is perfectly set up for hunting."
Several other tracts include well maintained pastureland and have expansive views of the valley. "Much of this land is ideally suited for grazing and will be of interest to someone who wishes to create a scenic estate with room for some horses or cattle," said Woltz.
The auction will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Wytheville Meeting Center, Wytheville. Woltz personnel will be available to guide inspections from noon to 2 p.m. on both May 24 and May 31. Individuals interested in additional information may visit www.woltz.com or call 800-551-3588.
