Blanca Diaz of Turner Construction Company Named on ENR's Top 20 Under 40 List

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce that Blanca Diaz, LEED AP, was recently recognized on ENR California's prestigious Top 20 Under 40 list.  Ms. Diaz is a Project Engineer in Turner's Southern California office and a dedicated philanthropist at just 28 years of age.  Blanca joins Lori Ann Stevens from San Diego as one of two Turner Construction Company employees featured on ENR California's 2012 prominent list of young talent.

Blanca Diaz graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a BS in Civil Engineering.  A LEED Accredited Professional, Ms. Diaz has worked on numerous education projects, healthcare projects, the $250 million Terranea Resort project, and a 60,000 square foot affordable housing project.  Currently, she is on an international assignment in Zapopan, Mexico.  Ms. Diaz also gives back to her community. She continues to be involved in the USC Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, serving as a mentor to college students.  In addition to numerous local fundraising events, Ms. Diaz has traveled to India twice in the past four years to care for orphans. She also raised $3,000 to support efforts to improve quality of life for people in rural India.
