DENVER, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blair E. Richardson began his tenure as Chair of the Board of Directors of National Jewish Health on January 27, 2016. He succeeds outgoing Chair, Richard A. Schierburg, who will continue to serve on the Executive Committee of the Board.

Richardson has held executive positions in international sales and trading of public equity and debt securities for more than a quarter century, including most recently as Managing Partner of Bow River Capital Partners. Richardson was with Morgan Stanley and Company from 1987 to 1995, serving as President of Morgan Stanley Japan in Tokyo, Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia in Hong Kong, and Managing Director of the Equity and Fixed Income Department in New York. Before forming Bow River Capital Partners, Richardson was Managing Partner of B.E. Richardson Investments, which invested in a variety of industries throughout North America.
Richardson has chaired numerous entities, including TGS Properties, which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. He has also chaired Pinnacol Assurance (Colorado State Workers' Compensation Board) and Colorado Concern. Richardson joined the Board of Directors of National Jewish Health in 2009. He has served as Chair of the Capital Campaign committee for National Jewish Health since 2012. He also serves as Chair of the Strategic Planning committee and as a member of the Executive committee.
