Blain's Farm & Fleet Announces a Third Location in Michigan
JANESVILLE, Wis., Jan. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Blain's Farm & Fleet is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement for a third Michigan location in Traverse City. The Traverse City location is slated to open in Spring 2019. This announcement comes on the heels of a previous release of Blain's expansion into Michigan with new locations in Jackson, MI and Portage, MI, both scheduled to open in Fall 2018. Blain's has revealed plans to expand throughout Michigan with multiple locations in various stages of development. These three new locations are the first to be announced in Michigan and will bring the total number of Blain's Farm & Fleet Stores to 41, with the 38 current stores in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
"Everything is falling into place," said Jane Blain Gilbertson, Owner and President of Blain's Farm & Fleet. "It has truly been a joy to work with local officials like Jean Derenzy from Grand Traverse County and the officials of Blair Township. In Michigan, we are finding like-minded partners who share our values and appreciate the unique community-focused retail environment we offer. Michigan and Blain's Farm & Fleet Stores were made for one another!"
The Traverse City location will be the first Blain's Farm & Fleet store in Michigan that Blain's will build from the ground up, as the Jackson and Portage sites include renovation and/or expansion of existing buildings. The property is located at the southwest corner of Highway US31/M37 and Rennie School Road in Blair Township in Grand Traverse County. Blain's is planning to construct a 100,000 square foot store with a state-of-the-art automotive service center and a full drive-thru area which will allow customers to make purchases without even leaving their vehicle. Blain's will complete the approval process with Grand Traverse County and Blair Township and hopes to begin construction this summer to open in the spring of 2019.
"At Blain's, we have a family culture which treats our associates like family and our customers like neighbors," said Jane Blain Gilbertson. "The planned expansion is good for everyone. It creates opportunities for our existing family of associates as well as the new Michigan family that we haven't met yet. And we are very excited to begin serving our new neighbors in Michigan!"
