While Cisco Leads in Overall FCoE Switching, HP Gains Share in Blade Server FCoE Switching

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A recently published report by Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the networking and telecommunications industries, indicates that approximately 7 percent of servers, or 150,000 units, shipped with Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) capable network connections in the first quarter of 2011. Most of those server connections were driven by HP blade servers with Emulex FCoE LAN on Motherboard (LOM). Not all HP's blade servers were operating FCoE, but the rate of adoption more than doubled sequentially during the quarter.
