ABWK is a program that serves low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes. ABWK focuses on exterior home repair services such as painting, landscaping and cleanup.
"Habitat's continuing revitalization efforts in neighborhoods like Vegas Heights is our way to help preserve these communities during this very difficult time," said Chris Higgins, Interim Executive Director.
In support of ABWK, Los Angeles-based financial software provider BlackLine Systems has donated funding and volunteers to support Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas' efforts to revitalize local communities. On Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, BlackLine CEO and Founder Therese Tucker will be onsite, as well as up to 60 volunteers from the company, its clients and partner firms, to help paint, landscape and perform minor exterior repairs to the outside of Mrs. Mary Jimerson's home located at 1024 Miller Ave., Las Vegas, NV.
"We understand that today's economic climate is tough for a lot of people and realize we are very fortunate," Howard Goldstein, VP of marketing, BlackLine Systems, said. "We've made it a company policy to give back to the community by working with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, which has helped many people rebuild their lives and start over."

About Habitat for Humanity
Established in Clark County in 1991, Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas is a not-for-profit organization that builds simple, decent, affordable housing with the help of volunteer labor and donated time, materials and funds. Each home is sold at no profit and with a no-interest mortgage to local working families who otherwise might be forced to live in substandard housing. These families contribute "sweat equity" by helping in the construction of their own homes. For more information, visit www.habitatlasvegas.org.
