BlackLine Systems to Lead a Microforum and Demo Theater Session, Plus Client Booth Presentations at SAPPHIRE® NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference
Dow Chemical to discuss ease of integration with SAP® solutions; benefits of BlackLine; cost-savings since using BlackLine Financial Close Suite, an SAP-endorsed business solution
LOS ANGELES, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW), along with other BlackLine Systems client companies, will be joining the financial close software leader and SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) to deliver several presentations each day at BlackLine booth number 1313 during SAPPHIRE® NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference taking place June 3-5 in Orlando, Fla.
The BlackLine System Administrator from Dow Chemical will be in the BlackLine booth for a series of demo sessions highlighting the ease of integration with SAP solutions, as well as the key benefits and return on investment (ROI) the nearly $60 billion public company has realized since using BlackLine on a global basis to accelerate its financial close.
The regular booth presentations with Dow and other BlackLine clients are just one of three activities BlackLine will participate in during the conference to showcase its end-to-end solution for helping companies accelerate the financial close.
Representatives from BlackLine and SAP also will co-host a microforum presentation in the Lines of Business campus (LB255) entitled "Make the Most of Your Entity Financial Close and Account Reconciliations." Presented in a roundtable format, the SAP and BlackLine microforum is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT on June 2. The presentation is designed to generate discussion on how finance, accounting, audit and compliance executives can help ensure the integrity of their balance sheets – and ultimately financial reports – by implementing software to automate the traditionally manual, labor-intensive and spreadsheet-driven financial close and account reconciliation processes. Lastly, the BlackLine Financial Close Suite for SAP® Solutions will be featured in another microforum session titled "Close with Confidence and Achieve Balance Sheet Integrity," to be held in the Lines of Business Demo Theater (LB203) on June 5 at 12 p.m. EDT.
Each of the BlackLine sessions – in its booth or in the Lines of Business campus – is designed to inform customers, whether operating in an environment of only SAP solutions or applications from multiple vendors, how account reconciliation process optimization can help them achieve a quicker and more accurate financial close process.
Featured Speakers:
- Stefan Karl, chief solution expert, Finance Solutions, SAP AG
- Elizabeth Milne, manager, Accounting and Financial Close Portfolio, Product Marketing, SAP
- Bob Davenport, senior implementation and application consultant, BlackLine Systems
- Theresa Buckmaster, BlackLine system administrator, The Dow Chemical Company
Attendees will leave the various sessions with insight into how, by automating their account reconciliations, they can:
- Virtually eliminate spreadsheets (and the manual errors that often come with them) from their account reconciliation process
- Automate traditionally manual accounting functions
- Have a faster, more efficient close cycle - maintaining more control and visibility worldwide, while reducing risk
- Realize exceptional ROI in a very short timeframe
- Improve the accuracy and timeliness of compliance reporting
- Manage compliance while servicing multiple locations, worldwide
