BlackLine Systems Named as Finalist in Three Categories for Prestigious Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on the "outstanding achievements" of CEO and founder Therese Tucker, financial software provider BlackLine Systems has been recognized as a Finalist in three categories in The 8th Annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business:

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs and the companies they run – worldwide.  The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world's premier business awards.  More than 1,300 entries – a record for the competition – were submitted this year for consideration.

Under Tucker's direction, BlackLine revenues were up by more than 50 percent in both 2009 and 2010.  The company also is already recording strong growth in 2011, with its sales team closing nearly as many new deals in the first six months of 2011 alone as in the entire calendar year 2010.  The 2009 growth follows three sequential previous years where the company's revenues doubled.

Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.  Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," winners were announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, Nov. 11.  Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S.A. and several other countries attended.   The presentations were broadcast live on radio in the U.S.A. by the Business TalkRadio Network.
