BlackLine Systems CEO & Founder Therese Tucker Nominated for TechAmerica "Financial Stars of the Year" Award

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BlackLine Systems CEO and Founder Therese Tucker has been nominated for the TechAmerica Financial Stars of the Year Awards in the category of private companies under $50 million. The nomination reflects BlackLine's strong financial performance and Tucker's accomplishments in building and growing the financial software company.

The first annual awards, presented by TechAmerica, the industry's largest trade association and advocacy organization, recognize financial professionals in seven different categories of companies. The objective is to highlight financial leaders in the greater Los Angeles community who have significantly contributed to the success of their companies, industry, peers and community. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the Skirball Cultural Center.

BlackLine revenues were up by more than 50 percent in both 2009 and 2010. The company also reported its strongest quarter on record in Q1, with its sales team closing half as many new deals in the first quarter of 2011 alone – traditionally the slowest time of year for software sales – as in the entire calendar year 2010. The 2009 growth follows three sequential previous years where the company's revenues doubled under Tucker's direction.
