LOS ANGELES, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BlackLine Systems CEO and Founder Therese Tucker has been selected as one of 10 leading senior executives named to chair and form specialized judging committees for The 10th Annual American Business Awards. Tucker, with the assistance of BlackLine CFO Charles Best, will head the judging committee for all Management categories of the 2012 American Business Awards.
"We are honored to have Therese chair the judging committee for the Management categories in The 2012 American Business Awards. A recognized leader in the enterprise-class financial software industry and a past Stevie Award winner, Therese is well qualified to judge excellence in the field," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
Under Tucker's direction, BlackLine revenues were up by more than 50 percent in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The 2009 growth follows three sequential previous years where the company's revenues doubled.
Just last year, Tucker was acknowledged by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal as a "Woman of the Decade" for her continuous accomplishments in growing and building the software company over the past several years. Also in 2011, BlackLine was named a Red Herring 100 Global Winner – recognizing the company as one of the 'most innovative and promising' tech ventures in the world.
Most recently, BlackLine was named to Software Magazine's prestigious annual list of the 500 largest software and service providers in the world.
A recognized leader and inspiration for young entrepreneurs and other women looking to excel in business, Tucker has recently been invited to speak to accounting and business students at both Harvard Business School and New York University.
