The annual conference, hosted by the Harvard Business School Women's Student Association, brings together more than 1,000 women – including students, alumnae, faculty, distinguished business leaders and community members – to explore the opportunities and challenges that women encounter in today's business world.
Drawing on her experience building BlackLine Systems from the ground up into the leading company in its space, Tucker will participate on a panel entitled "Running the Show: Perspectives from Women Entrepreneurs." Other panelists include the CEOs/founders from Belle Chevre, Care.com and Stella & Dot. Mukti Khaire, professor of business administration at Harvard Business School, will moderate the session.
A recognized leader and inspiration for young entrepreneurs and other women looking to excel in business, Tucker recently spoke to a group of accounting and business students at New York University (NYU).
Under Tucker's direction, BlackLine revenues were up by more than 50 percent in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The 2009 growth follows three sequential previous years where the company's revenues doubled.
Just last year, Tucker was acknowledged by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal as a "Woman of the Decade" for her continuous accomplishments in growing and building the software company over the past several years. Also in 2011, BlackLine was named a Red Herring 100 Global Winner – recognizing the company as one of the 'most innovative and promising' tech ventures in the world.
In addition, Tucker was honored with a 2011 Stevie American Business Award for Software Executive of the Year and two Golden Bridge Women in Business Awards. Most recently, BlackLine was named to Software Magazine's prestigious annual list of the 500 largest software and service providers in the world.
BlackLine continues to add clients at an aggressive pace with a long list of household name companies already on board including Concur Technologies, H.J. Heinz, Salesforce.com, Starkist, Unified Grocers, Westinghouse and Whirlpool.
