Blackboard Wins Industry Award for Best LMS
Campus Technology Readers Give Blackboard Top Spot in Three Categories Including Learning Management and E-Learning
WASHINGTON, Oct. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackboard Inc. ("Blackboard") earned first place in Campus Technology's 2015 Readers' Choice Awards' 'Learning Management and E-learning' category, the company announced today. Blackboard also received top honors in the 'E-Portfolios' and 'Emergency Notifications' categories.
In addition to earning the top spot in three categories, Blackboard was awarded second place in the 'Virtual Classroom and Meeting' category.
In its first ever 'gear of the year' guide, Campus Technology surveyed hundreds of education professionals to give their take on which products in 29 categories are truly the best, according to the magazine. The guide, which gives Platinum (1st), Gold (2nd), and Silver (3rd) awards in each category, is designed to "help short-list shopping and fuel decision-making."
Today's announcement marks another example of top industry recognition Blackboard has received in 2015 for its world-class LMS Blackboard Learn™. Blackboard also earned the top spot in a crowd-sourced survey published by G2 Crowd, an independent software review platform that ranks products based on user reviews.
