Blackboard Announces Expanded Program for BbWorld 2012
Sal Khan and Freeman Hrabowski to Deliver Keynotes
WASHINGTON, May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackboard Inc. today announced an expanded program for BbWorld® 2012, the company's education technology conference scheduled for July 10-12 in New Orleans, La. Along with 175 client-led sessions on best practices and knowledge sharing, this year's program also features new sessions on a range of emerging themes in education technology, including social learning, digital content, analytics and mobility.
Over 2,500 administrators, academic leaders, instructors and technical experts will attend BbWorld to gain greater insight into teaching and learning with technology and network with peers. Keynote sessions will be delivered by Freeman Hrabowski, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Sal Khan, founder and executive director of Khan Academy.
BbWorld will also include dedicated session tracks designed specifically for audiences including faculty, chief technology officers and executives. Two additional events will take place alongside BbWorld: the Connections Summit, a two-day event focused on online collaboration, and DevCon, the annual meeting of institutional and third party developers working to extend learning platforms.
