Blackbird International Corporation Announces its Contracts with Major International Companies
OAKVILLE, Ontario, March 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BLACKBIRD INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION (PINKSHEETS: BBRD) is most pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Insight Group Technologies Inc, has been chosen by Nestle DSD-USA, one of North America's largest frozen food distributors, to complete a comprehensive review of their facility operations and distribution centers utilizing the DC Expert software suite. The project has begun and it will provide a template for many of the major operations that rely on the Company's technology.
Nestle had vetted other products but awarded the contract to Blackbird. The technology is based on proprietary industry leading algorithms that are designed to dramatically improve supply chain productivity and performance in a very short period of time. The software provides definitive outputs that prove to all targeted companies that they should gain a return of up to 20 times the amount that was invested in this technology. ''The DC Expert software suite provides a solution to a number of problems Fortune 500 companies face in their logistics operations. Once deployed the application offers tangible advantages in real time, reduces operating costs and bottom line benefits,'' adds Lee Rector, EVP of Blackbird. ''It is a win-win solution.''
"This contract also marks a paradigm shift in the Blackbird's subsidiaries sales strategy moving from pure arms length approach to a more trusted vendor program. Insight's sales team are confident that this new commercial model can be replicated with a number of our existing clients and new customers alike," added John Pedder, Blackbird's president.
Blackbird expects revenues in excess of $200,000 for each of these type of contracts as well as additional revenues generated by recurring maintenance fees.
''Nestle is one of many of our Fortune 100 clients that bring excellent value to our shareholders,'' commented John Pedder. The Company's technology and its numerous variants are developed to satisfy, not only Nestle, but numerous Fortune 500 clients such as, DHL, Nissan, 3M, Moen, Fosters Group (Australia), Mainfreight International (New Zealand), and Cooper Industries. All development on the Company's technology is subject to improvements and is interchangeable benefitting all clients.
