BlackArrow Expands Executive Team with Addition of Don Gordon as SVP, Technology
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BlackArrow, a leading worldwide provider of advanced advertising solutions for New Television platforms, today announced that Don Gordon, a leading on-demand content and advanced advertising industry innovator, has joined the company as senior vice president, technology.
Previously, Gordon held executive positions with ActiveVideo Networks, Microsoft Corporation and DIVA Systems, and most recently served as founder, president and CEO of Bulldog United — a provider of solutions for synchronizing targeted, Web-connected TV ads with broadcast programming. At BlackArrow, he is responsible for driving the continued innovation and development of advanced advertising solutions that enable content distributors and programmers to effectively monetize television programming distributed over New TV platforms.

Named on 70 pending or issued patents, Gordon is an on-demand technology pioneer. He was the first employee of DIVA Systems and later served as general manager and vice president of the company's broadcast products division. After serving as director of development for Microsoft TV's TVD venture, Gordon was named director of solutions architectures for Microsoft TV. More recently, he was CTO of ActiveVideo Networks, with responsibility for the development of the CloudTV platform that streams Web-based content, applications and advertising to the television.

Gordon holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science and an M.S. in Cybernetic Systems from San Jose State University.
