BitYota To Bring Data Warehousing To Microsoft Azure
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Warehouse Service (DWS) provider BitYota announced that it is bringing the feature-rich functionality of its data warehouse to Microsoft Azure's enterprise grade cloud infrastructure.
By collaborating with Microsoft Corp., BitYota's DWS will enable Azure users to move analytics workloads to the cloud and dramatically accelerate their ability to integrate data from internal and external web, mobile, social and other sources into a single cloud DWS. BitYota DWS has been specifically designed and built for heterogeneous cloud environments thereby enabling high performance distributed parallel query execution across cloud virtual machines. BitYota's innovative capabilities also include standard SQL OLAP and User Defined Functions support, fast interactive discovery using SQL directly over native JSON data; flexible table layout options (row and columnar with comprehensive partitioning schemes) and the ability to scale compute and storage independently for the most optimum price performance.
The BitYota DWS on Azure will provide a powerful solution that will enable enterprises to:

- Leverage a comprehensive range of SQL OLAP operators, develop UDFs in many languages and visualize data using popular Business Intelligence tools for extensible, high performance analytics on multi-structured data
- Provision their data warehouse in minutes and enjoy the benefit of a fully managed cloud service
"BitYota is expanding its alliance program to best serve enterprise customers seeking to move new data workloads to the cloud. The combination of Azure's global scale infrastructure with the functionality and flexibility of the BitYota DWS creates a powerful platform for high velocity data discovery and analytics," said BitYota's COO Graham Summers.
