Metro-Fiber Demand and Cloud-Based Services Set New Sales Record!
ATLANTA, Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Birch Communications, Inc. ("Birch"), a leading nationwide provider of communications, network and cloud services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, announced today preliminary sales for the quarter ended December 31, 2015. The company expects Q4 '15 organic sales to be approximately 118% higher than Q4 '14 and approximately 80% higher than Q1 '15.
"Our fourth quarter results highlight the benefits of being a nationwide, complete communications provider singularly focused on fulfilling the needs of our diverse customer base," said President and CEO, Vincent M. Oddo. "Some of the key drivers of our success last quarter were our Metro-Fiber sales, which increased by 179% this quarter as compared to the first quarter of 2015, along with a steadily rising demand for our Cloud services."
Birch's national IP-Network, which continues to expand rapidly, is capable of supporting 1Gbps+ data transmission rates with 600 points of presence (POPs) in 22 states. Birch offers everything from analog phone service, T1s, broadband and mobile services to best-in-class advanced business services, including: cloud PBX, VoIP, Metro Ethernet, Metro Fiber, MPLS, file storage, managed hosting, data center, and IT services. In particular, Birch recently announced the addition of 80,000 buildings to its Metro-Fiber network in November 2015.
"This quarter was defined by top-performing markets in Atlanta, Houston and Miami. We're very pleased to have such strong year-end results and attribute much of our growth to our ongoing Metro-Fiber expansion initiative in key markets around the country. By successfully forming new and refining existing business agreements with key partners we were able to expand our service availability and increase sales steadily to deliver solutions that meet our customers' current and growing needs," said Christopher Ramsey, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at Birch.
Ramsey continued, "These are critical components of our long-term plan and we are thrilled to drive the momentum and look forward to setting new sales records across many of our product lines in 2016. Based on these 2015 sales results, we're expecting to see at least another 15% rise in organic sales this year."
Overall, 2015 marked another year of excellence for Birch with their sixth-time placement on the Inc. 500|5000 list, a repeat listing on the Atlanta Business Chronicle's 2015 List of the 50 Top Private Companies in Atlanta, and the prestigious "Center of Excellence" recognition by BenchmarkPortal.
