BioSurplus Names Dawn Hocevar Director, National Business Development

SAN DIEGO, July 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSurplus announced today that Dawn Hocevar has been named to the newly created position of Director, National Business Development.

As the company expands its U.S. footprint with a new Boston location, Hocevar's position will be instrumental in growing relationships with equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and other supply channel and auction partners throughout the country.  She will also be charged with managing BioSurplus' regional business development teams including San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Boston.

In addition to her new role at BioSurplus, Hocevar has also been named National Program and Development Chair at Women in Bio.  At WIB she will guide outreach and promotional efforts for the programs that the organization offers to its members. http://www.womeninbio.org

Prior to joining BioSurplus in 2007, Hocevar held various positions while employed at Fisher Scientific for 20 years, including senior sales representative and corporate account manager. She managed sales representatives in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as Utah.  Prior to Fisher Scientific she also worked as a Licensed Medical Technologist at Stanford Medical Center.  Hocevar received her Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in biology and minor in chemistry from San Jose State University.
