BioSurplus Hires Veteran Sales Executive, Robert Kum
Based in Fremont, With Extensive Experience in High-Level Scientific Instrument Sales
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSurplus announced today that it has hired Robert Kum as an Account Manager in the sales department. Kum will focus on high-end laboratory instruments and will be based in the company's Fremont, Calif. office and showroom.

Kum previously was National Account Director for Spectros, where he managed the sales team in charge of marketing for T-Stat, a visible light spectroscopy patient monitoring device. While at Spectros, he worked on-site with the product's users, including vascular, bariatric and cardiac surgeons, among others. Under his leadership sales tripled in volume.
In past positions, Kum has worked as Regional Sales Manager for Salix Pharmaceuticals, where he launched Colazal, an inflammatory bowel disease medication. He has also held sales positions with Watson Pharma, Searle, and Dow Hickam/Mylan Pharmaceuticals.
