BioHiTech Global Expands Relationship with Flexi Systems and Signs Exclusive Multi-Year Distribution Agreement

("BioHiTech") (OTCQB: BHTG), a green technology company that provides innovative data-driven solutions for food waste disposal, expanded its relationship with Flexi Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd ("Flexi Systems"), a related company of Enerprof Pte Ltd ("Enerprof"), with an exclusive multi-year agreement to continue distribution of its Eco-Safe Digester and BioHiTech Cloud solution throughout Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Enerprof advises businesses in Southeast Asia to achieve cost savings and carbon footprint reductions via the usage of energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. In addition to Singapore, Enerprof also serves the growing Malaysian and Indonesian markets. As a member of Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS), Enerprof taps into the myriad of expertise within its member network to deliver comprehensive waste management solutions.

BioHiTech's solution for the disposal of food waste is based on data and analytics that help drive smarter business decisions. BioHiTech's on-site Eco-Safe Digester^® is equipped with an onboard scale that weighs food waste each time it is added, determining where, when, and what food waste is being disposed. This insight into the waste stream provides an unprecedented level of transparency that affords businesses with the data needed to optimize their food waste disposal process and identify ways to prevent it altogether.

Flexi Systems saw the value in BioHiTech's products and the opportunity to utilize a disposal technology that includes waste analytic software to track, monitor and analyze kitchen waste to increase profit margins and lower overall waste levels. Flexi Systems has been distributing the Eco-Safe Digester since January of 2015 under a reseller agreement. The terms of the agreement include an initial purchase order to meet the needs of Enerprof's new customers with annual commitments for the duration of the agreement. 

According to Singapore's National Environment Agency (NEA), the amount of food waste generated in Singapore has increased by 48% over the past 10 years. Singapore generated enough food waste in 2014 to fill 786 Olympic- size swimming pools. The amount soared to 869,282 tons, a 48% rise from 452,027 tons in 2004, outpacing the 19.2% growth in population during the same period.
