BioElectronics HealFast® Therapy Selected by 167 Member Canadian Veterinarian Alliance
Atlantic Vet Alliance, AVA, and Its Affiliates Will Use HealFast Therapy PEMF Therapy In Their Practices
FREDERICK, Md., Sept. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BioElectronics Corporation (OTC-PINK: BIEL), the maker of disposable, inexpensive drug-free topical pain and healing devices, today announced that the Atlantic Veterinarian Alliance, headquartered in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Canada has selected HealFast® Therapy for use by its association of 167 veterinary practices and animal hospitals.
"We are pleased that we will be able to introduce HealFast Therapy's unique drug-free pain relief patch to our patients," said Dr. Lesley Steele, D.V.M. "There is already considerable excitement about this product among our veterinary community."
HealFast Therapy patches for animals deliver PEMF, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, through a miniaturized, wearable patch. Veterinarians can place the patches right on the injury and the patches continue delivering treatment even while the animals are at home, resting or traveling.
"HealFast Therapy adds a new dimension to the veterinarian arsenal of treatments as a drug-free relief treatment that rapidly reduces swelling of sprains, tendonitis and incisions," Dr. Steele said. "We were pleased with the product's effectiveness," Dr. Steele said. "One vet used it on herself – on a dog bite -- and was amazed at the pain reduction and healing enhancement."
Dr. Steele founded AVA as an affiliate veterinarian buyers group in the Atlantic region and has since grown it to now include the Canadian Central and Western Vet Alliances as well. The HealFast Therapy agreement provides preferential pricing for alliance members.
HealFast Therapy is manufactured by BioElectronics Corporation which also makes award-winning PEMF products for humans: ActiPatch Therapy that Health Canada has approved for relief of pain in musculoskeletal complaints, and RecoveryRx products that Health Canada has approved for Surgical Recovery and Chronic Wounds.
More information about the AVA association will soon be available at www.vetalliance.ca . Dr. Steele is the owner of Eastern Passage Village Veterinary Hospital and the founder of AVA. Dr. Steele was an official Canadian delegate to the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit earlier this year in Mexico City.
