Bimax Receives National Performance Improvement Honor

GLEN ROCK, Pa., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bimax's Glen Rock facility is pleased to announce it has been recognized for exemplary efforts in improving its environmental, health, safety and security by the Society of Chemical  Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA).

Bimax participates in SOCMA's ChemStewards® program, which encourages companies to operate their facilities in an environment that guarantees safety and environmental compliance to all stakeholders.

Bimax accepted a Bronze Performance Improvement Award at SOCMA's 93rd Annual Dinner on December 8 in New York City.  This is the first year Bimax has received the award.  Bimax President Ron Kreis accepted the award on behalf of the company at the awards dinner.

Bimax was recognized for its successful efforts to reduce pollution by voluntarily installing a thermal oxidizer and substantial research and development to treat hazardous wastewater.  The thermal oxidizer has reduced emissions from the manufacturing facility by 98 percent.  In addition, Bimax was recognized for its continual efforts to improve health and safety at the facility.
